It’s been one week since we celebrated #sharewhyyoucare week, so we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part!

Over 70 organisations and individuals took part in our effort to bring attention to the amazing workers that keep the Care sector running, to highlight how rewarding a career in Care can be and how much it contributes to the quality of life of Care users.

Care Hires Co-founder Suleman Sacranie said: “Staffing in the sector is a major challenge. And while there are lots of programmes, schemes and plans to encourage people to take on a care role, we really wanted to highlight the human element. There are real opportunities in the sector and while it seems care work truly is a calling, there are possibly a lot of people out there who haven’t thought about care as a career before but would gladly answer the call after finding kindred spirits in the sector.”

We were amazed by so many of you sharing what inspires you to work in care and have selected one lucky contributor to win a small prize — watch this space next week for more details!

The first #sharewhyyoucare week was so successful that plans are already underway to continue the work that we started in the not-too-distant future, so watch the Care Hires social channels for an announcement soon!

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who took part, and remember that any time you feel inspired, you can #sharewhyyoucare.
